This book is the epitome for perfection in my eyes. It has been such a delight to read this book that it is hands down my most favorite book right now.
Aristotle and Dante are two opposite souls with a completely different outlook towards the world. Ari is the crabby 15 years old loner who is so roasted from his life that he hates it. His brother is in prison and has many unresolved issues with his parents. This always makes Ari sad and distant from people, suppressing his emotions till he cries to let it out. And then there’s Dante, an expressive, happy go lucky guy, full of life with perfect parents and a positive outlook towards the world.
Their lives finally change for good and forever when both the loners find each other at a swimming pool. There the journey begins of finding, honing themselves and discovering the secrets of the universe and ultimately finding their true love.
The best part about this book is that it doesn’t have the mainstream approach. The way the relationship between Ari and Dante develops by establishing decency to respect each other’s emotions and space while still growing closer and closer to one another, sacrificing lives for each other and apologizing without the word “sorry”. The book is full of bumpy emotional ride yet it manages to keep you calm all the while you read. It can be related on every platform yet changes your view towards yourself after you are done with it.
I can’t stand any firmer by my words that this book has been such a life changer and made me fall in love with reading even harder than before. I think it’s tough to dislike such a book. It’s a must read for each and everyone for it will definitely be your favorite book as well!
